Sister Hawkins needs your prayers

Well I got a short letter from Emily this week but I am not going to post it.  She is really struggling and is seriously considering coming home.  I was able to email her back and forth for a short time this morning and she has agreed to give it another week.  I know we all have faith that she can do this, Emily just needs to find faith in herself.  She is very homesick and feels she does not know enough to be out teaching the gospel.  Please remember her in your prayers and if you have time for a short note, I am sure she would love to hear from you.  Thank you to all who regularly check this blog.  I feel of your love and support.         Julie (Emily's mom)

  1. I'm Andrea Touchet, I'm in the Jennings Branch with Sister Hawkins!! We LOVE her and couldn't imaging her not being here! She comes and eats at our house every Tuesday night! I'll keep her in my prayers! I think she is doing a fabulous job out here. This area can be tough, but she's doing really well!!! :)

  2. Emily,

Hey it's Missy. I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking about you the other day. The Elder's stopped by our house one night after they were having a hard day. They had been rejected several times. While they were here I was thinking about how many times I had told the missionaries that I was not interested. But finally I had some Sister Missionaries. For some reason I was able to relate better to them and I finally relaxed and was able to listen to the Spirit. I thought of you and how sweet you are and how much that will come in handy when you are sharing the Gospel. I can't even begin to understand how hard it is for you right now. But please know that I know that Heavenly Father doesn't give us anything we can't handle. You are an amazing person with a great spirit and Heavenly Father has sent you there for a purpose. Even though you don't feel like you know what you are doing, just follow the Spirit.

  3. Hey Sister Hawkins!~
This is Aarika Brinker. I was Emily's YW leader when we lived in your ward almost 4 years ago. I would love to write Em! We are living in Bossier City, LA now. My husband is in the Air Force and we are stationed at Barksdale AFB. Jennings is about 3 hours away from us and I would love to send her a note and let her know there is some down here in LA from home that is mindful of her and what she is going through. If you could, would you please e-mail me her address? aarikabrinker@msn.com
Thanks and hope you are all doing well!
